For most of my life, I lived with a fast mind, a sensitive body, and a heart that felt everything at full volume. I did my best to hold everything together — while quietly falling apart behind the scenes.
Classic me.

Eventually, my body called time.
A full stop.
A “sit down, Sue, we’re not doing this anymore” moment.
And that’s when everything truly began to shift.

My journey hasn’t been neat or linear.
It’s been a deep unravelling — rebuilding trst in my body, learning to listen to myself, and meeting the parts of me I’d avoided for years.

Along the way, I explored words we often hear in the world of wellbeing — trust, acceptance, forgiveness, gratitude, faith, surrender and many more. I began to realise that understanding these words intellectually and actually experiencing them within myself were two very different things.

Through journaling, reflection, movement, somatic work and learning to truly listen to my body, I slowly began to recognise what these things felt like for me.

I learned to soften into my truth, meet my shadow with compassion, and kept my humour alive — because that’s not going anywhere.

My authentic smile isn’t something I put on.
It’s what appears when my body, mind, and truth finally stop arguing.

Today, I use what I’ve learned and lived to create space for others to explore their own journey — with grounded tools, gentle curiosity, and room to discover what feels authentically true for them.

You don’t need to become someone new.
Just space to return to who you’ve been all along.

Where Am Now — Living, Healing & Evolving

Healing isn’t a finish line; it’s a relationship with yourself.
Life has moved through big chapters — including losing both my parents — and the practices I’ve lived became what held me steady.

Where I am now is simple:
I’m living, healing, and evolving — all at the same time.

I’ve learned that you can feel heartbreak and still feel anchored.
You can cry and still trust your centre.
You can grieve and still find small moments of joy.
You can be rebuilding and still be whole.

My authentic smile isn’t fixed or flawless.
It expands, softens, and reshapes itself as life moves — but it’s real, and it’s mine.

This space will grow with me. I’ll continue to share where I am in my own evolution — because I’m walking this path too: one breath, one layer, one truth at a time.

If something in this resonates with you, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Sue’s philosophy

FAITH · TRUST · SURRENDER

My guiding philosophy and my personal anchors

These three words have travelled with me through different chapters of my life.

They aren’t rules I expect anyone else to live by, and your words may be completely different.

They’re simply the three I return to when life gets noisy, uncertain or beyond my control.

FAITH for me isn’t about having all the answers.

Over the years I’ve explored different beliefs and spiritual ideas and developed my own relationship with the sense that there is something beyond just me.

I don’t need to define exactly what that something is.

My faith is in what I choose to believe, what I experience and what feels authentically true within me — while accepting that some things will always be beyond my knowing.

TRUST

Trust became one of my greatest teachers when I realised I didn’t really know how to trust myself.

For me, trust has become a relationship with my own inner signals — learning to listen to my body, recognise what feels authentically true for me, and trust myself to meet whatever comes next.

It doesn’t mean always knowing what to do.

Sometimes it simply means trusting that I will find my way through.

SURRENDER

Surrender isn’t giving up, giving in or handing over responsibility for my life.

For me, it’s recognising what is mine to control and what isn’t.

I may not be able to control the outcome, another person’s choices, how long something takes or what life brings next — but I can choose how I meet it.

I’ve discovered something that once would have sounded completely backwards to me:

The more I’ve learned to surrender in life, the more in control I feel.

MIND • BODY • SOUL

Much of my own journey has been about learning to listen to all three.

For years, I could understand something intellectually without necessarily feeling it within me. I could know the language of acceptance, trust, forgiveness, gratitude or surrender without yet knowing what those things actually felt like in my own experience.

That distinction has become an important part of how I work.

MIND

The place of thought, understanding, questioning and reflection.

Our minds help us make sense of our experiences, explore the stories we carry and recognise the beliefs and patterns that may be shaping how we meet life.

Understanding matters.

But understanding something isn’t always the same as feeling it.

BODY

The place of feeling, sensation, instinct and lived experience.

Our bodies communicate in their own ways. Sometimes through ease or tension. Movement or stillness. Expansion or resistance. Sometimes simply through a feeling that something does — or doesn’t — feel right for us.

Learning to listen to my body, rather than constantly trying to override it, has been one of the biggest parts of my own journey.

SOUL

For me, this is the quieter place of inner knowing, intuition, faith and meaning.

You may call it soul, spirit, intuition, inner wisdom, something greater than yourself — or something completely different.

You don’t need to share my language or my beliefs.

What matters is discovering what feels meaningful and authentically true for you.

EMBODIMENT

For me, embodiment is what happens when something is no longer simply an idea I understand.

I begin to recognise it within myself.

I know what my own trust feels like.
I know what gratitude feels like.
I know what surrender feels like.
I know what alignment feels like.

Not because somebody has told me what those things should feel like, but because I’ve experienced them for myself.

And once I’ve felt something authentically, I have a marker I can return to.

That’s the exploration at the heart of Authentic Smile.

Not telling you what to think, what to feel or who to become.

Creating space for you to discover what acceptance, alignment and embodiment mean for you.

You don’t need to become someone new.
Perhaps it’s simply about discovering more of who you already are..

Discover your own philosophy.
Find what feels true for you.
Live in alignment with it.
Embody it in your own way.

And when life throws something unexpected at you?
Just call it a plot twist — and keep moving.
